GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the Process & Lean Technician is to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in material flow. Driving continuous improvement in material flow and inventory processes using Lean fundamentals.
This position is responsible for helping drive continuous improvement in operations through the implementation of lean transformation and daily management initiatives. This role drives improvements through tactical support of Kaizen, VSM, and other lean transformation activities. This role maintains master data and controls necessary for material flow strategies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the mission of the Plant Materials Team in support of Operations.
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Work that enables 100% material delivery and process goals: meeting takt and maintaining a safe environment and a zero-defect product.
- Train and coach hourly operators and other employees on lean tools and processes.
- Support Kaizen events comprised of multi-functional team members.
- Support maintenance of required Kanban and material flow processes through master data upkeep, process flows, and standard work.
- Lead execution and coaching of visual workplace through 5S process (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) across all work areas in value stream.
- Conduct cycle time analyses, time studies, line balance improvements, workplace analysis, and improvement.
- Work with necessary site personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process-related obstacles.
- Assist in the change of systems/processes as required in support of the Lean initiatives.
- Participate in and facilitate projects and improvements.
- Provide necessary training specific to Lean Transformation tools and methodology.
- Follow up on action plans related to lean and improvement activities.
- Assist all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained.
- Obtain required fixtures, tools, work aids, and poke yokes to support workplace improvements.
- Coach line leaders and team members on the use of cell control boards and other visual management tools.
- Support communication of the direction of Lean Transformation and daily management initiatives to employees.
- Consistently apply Club Car policies and procedures.

- Maintains a safe and productive work environment.
- Other tasks and duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- College Degree preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of successful material flow, logistics, or inventory control experience.
- Proven track record of success.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Mapics programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires occasional lifting of objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.

- Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
