GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Our relationship with customers and approved dealers is equally important, with a worldwide distribution network including over 350 distributors and dealers.
The Club Car Cooperative Education Program is designed to expand and supplement the engineering training of talented and qualified students. Each participant will gain exposure to Club Car products and engineering processes. Knowledge and skills attained each rotation will supplement classroom learning and will prepare the program participant for a career with our business units. We are looking for performance-driven, innovative leaders who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus. As such, we are pleased to announce the following Cooperative Education Opportunity.
Cooperative Education Experience
Rotations:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
Advanced manufacturing engineering (AME) students will work hand in hand with our AME team and have the opportunity to support the launch and stabilization of our new product and technology programs. They will learn how to take design concepts and develop streamlined assembly processes using tools such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Control Plans, and Time Studies. By the end of the rotation students will understand the importance of design for manufacturing and how it translates to line efficiency and productivity.
Industrial Engineering
As an Industrial Engineer, students will drive operational improvements through analysis, design, and solution implementation of existing and/or new processes throughout Club Car value streams. Students will work to improve operational efficiencies, eliminate waste, improve material flow, reduce costs, and increase quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts. Using mathematical models and statistical analysis, they will develop optimal process designs and increase operational efficiency through improved resource utilization.
Quality Engineering
As Quality Engineers, students will gain valuable experience driving quality improvements both in the supply chain as well as on our factory floor. Quality sciences will be applied to identify root cause for systemic issues which impact customer satisfaction and implement corrective actions through Structure Problem Solving techniques. Students will use failure analysis data to drive continuous improvement activities at the point of origin therefore improving operational efficiency and quality. Working with both our Supply Chain, as well as operations teams, students will conduct process audits to ensure processes throughout that value stream are in control and capable resulting in 100% quality product. Students will learn how to use basic Metrology equipment, how we review parts using tolerance stack up analysis and read & interpret GD&T drawings.
