Working with Business Leaders and the Finance and People team, the Director of Workday Resource Planning will oversee the strategic direction of the Workday Financial Management (FIN) and Human Capital Management (HCM) system for the Association and its Sections, as well as lead and support the teams responsible for maintaining the related modules. Manage third-party relationships with systems and vendors such as Adaptive Planning, Kainos, and Association Management Software (AMS) providers. Act as the primary point of contact for all projects that will have an impact on financial and HCM systems and operations. Lead the continuous improvements of FIN and HCM system operations and push greater value from current and future investments in our systems and staff. Be the primary product owner of FIN and HCM systems and applications built by the Professional Golfers’Association (PGA). Define and direct requirements of other products and services that interface with the above FIN and HCM systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Ensure all financial and HCM system issues are resolved appropriately and timely. Maintain a consistent and clear process for tracking, reporting and resolving those issues.
Lead end-to-end planning, development, and implementation for all FIN and HCM systems. Continually improve the operational performance of FIN and HCM systems and processes.
Responsible for the security and privacy of sensitive financial and personal data by implementing robust data protection measures, risk management practices, and compliance with relevant regulations. Ensure FIN and HCM system security, as well as integrations, are working properly.
Maintain an annual product roadmap for all FIN and HCM systems and multi-year strategic vision. Including a comprehensive semi-annual process for testing and adopting changes in Workday releases.
Analyze existing and future state business processes, systems and flows of data to identify opportunities for improvement; implementation partners, architects, developers and business units to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
Explore advanced digital technology and carry out an execution plan aimed at enhancing FIN and HCM agility.
Oversee relationships with products and services that interface with FIN and HCM systems.
Support comprehensive finance, accounting and HCM transformations; Lead efforts in requirements gathering, testing and workflow developments.
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-geography teams including partnering with Business Processes, Accounting, FP&A, Technology, Tax, Legal, People Team, Championships and other functions to carry out key deliverables and achieve business objectives.
Align projects and systems changes with other teams that have shared ownership of Workday.
Provide hands-on configuration, training, testing, and support of Workday Financials and HCM on a regular basis.
Assist managers in developing employees to become subject matter experts and configurators of financial and HCM systems.
Develop a high performing and cross functional team of staff, vendors and contractors that support and enhance FIN and HCM systems.
Manage resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, and billing.

SUPERVISION:
This is a supervisory position responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for developing and administering the annual budget for the Workday Resource Planning team, licensing, and project budgets.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS or related field.
7+ years implementing, upgrading and supporting large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and financial/HCM ecosystems. Detailed understanding of ERP system concepts and general module functionality
2+ years experience with Workday Financials and/or Workday HCM
Experience with tax calculator services and Point of Sales.
Strong understanding or familiarity with Payment systems like Stripe, Paypal, WePay or other similar systems.
Familiarity with banking integrations to companies like JP Morgan and integrations to payroll systems that support HCM.
Workday Pro Financials and/or HCM Certification preferred.
Four years of team management experience.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, accounting terminology and operations, including General Ledger and financial statement requirements. Knowledge of E-commerce and Quoting/CRM. Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices.. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/GSuite
