The IT internship opportunity will develop applications to add new capabilities to the proprietary My Fitting Experience application, with a focus on scalability and stability. You will implement scalable and stable modules/services & refactor applications ensuring integration with existing systems and services. Each service/application should include documentation around its purpose. Any business logic should be outlined in this documentation as well.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement scalable microservices in C# .NET
•Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
•Review and refactor legacy code to improve performance and security
•Ensure code changes are well documented
•Conduct integration tests to ensure new microservices work seamlessly with existing systems
•Implement necessary security measures as directed by senior developers
•Participate in daily standup meetings and provide weekly updates on progress
Knowledge Skills Required:
•Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
•Strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Ability to work across cross functional teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks
•Passion for sports required, with passion/interest/knowledge for golf strongly preferred
•Basic knowledge of C# and .NET framework
•Familiarity with SQL Server for database interactions
•Basic understanding of web services, APIs and microservices
•Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
•Expectations are you will be available onsite for the entirety of our summer internship program: Dates are from 6/16/2025 - 8/15/2025
•Pay rate: $20 per hour
Education/Work Experience:
•Undergraduate, completed junior or senior year of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
