Supervises and leads the North America Accounts Receivable team (5) for all aspects of Cash Application, Claims and deduction management in supporting annual receipts of $500M+ (2019) currency neutral. Responsibility includes both US and Canada Operating units as well as service of tier 3 distributor markets in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Annual transaction counts include 200,000+ payment transactions. Monitor, report on, identify and resolve accounts receivable variances ensuring the integrity of the cash, lockbox, credit card and “taylormadedirect” receipt processes. Works directly with Chase Bank, Billtrust (Cash App Connect) and third-party credit card processors to resolve transmission issues as well as monitor and maintain the daily transaction flow. Determines the proper disposition of unapplied / unidentified cash and daily adjustments via analytical research and/or communication with the A/R and or Collection teams. Works closely with the Sr. Credit Manager to ensure timely and accurate receivable processing in addition to coordinating special projects.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises the AR team (5 direct reports) responsible for applying payments to account receivable balances. Manage daily workloads, timecards, training, and performance reviews of team.
- In alignment with Senior Credit Manager, partner with commercial team in support of National Accounts and ecommerce.
- Primary point of contact for Chase Bank and review of the daily lockbox file to identify and resolve any issues with transmission and reporting errors.
- Support of annual revenue and escheat property audits.
- Direct the research of all claims, which require documentation supporting the receipt, delivery, and dispersal of customer credit and collection data.
- Initiate the processing of monthly finance charges.
- Oversight of credit card receipt processing to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Oversee the accounts receivable refund process (including NSF) and system workflow.
- Monitor “E-Commerce transaction process”, working with IT to maintain system performance along with problem identification and resolution.
- Review monthly reports on Unapplied Cash and Credit Balances and make recommendations based on information.
- Develop and implement A/R reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) in order to fully understand the company’s cash position and drive improvements.
- Manages the input, assessment, and approval of credit adjustments (18,000+).
- Liaison with accounting team for month end closings and the reconciliation of A/R.
- Enable a service focused team approach and support via individual and team KPI goals.
- Lead, build, develop, and motivate a strong team of individuals to perform at the highest level; facilitate and foster continuous learning and collaboration within the team.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong command of AR acumen and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to move from tactical to strategic thinking.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoice payments, and financial records.
- Willingness to support the team with hands-on processing support.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including billing procedures and credit control.
- Software Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Oracle EBS, Business Object) with advanced skills in Excel data management.
- Working knowledge in Billtrust, GetPaid, and Cash App Connect a plus.
- Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks is required.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Interpersonal skills suited to dealing courteously and professionally with cross-functional teams and external customers
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- High school degree required. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar field preferred
- 5+ years’ progressive experience in AR required
- 3+ years’ supervisory experience preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions
- Consistent computer use, including 10-key.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annualbase pay range for this position is $75,000-$82,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
