Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Global IT, the Director of IT Infrastructure will provide strategic leadership and direction in driving the evolution and optimization of the global TaylorMade IT Infrastructure function, inclusive of network, compute, service, and the employee digital workplace. This role will play a pivotal role in innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction. With a focus on fostering a proactive culture within the team, the individual will be responsible for owning the organization’s global IT infrastructure, strengthening partnerships across the business, and leveraging modern technologies, including AI and automation, to support business growth and transformation. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for people development, technology, and modern solutions who can be a key driver for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be someone who can build strong cross-functional partnerships and elevate our global teams to a more proactive and innovative approach.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Shape and drive the strategic direction for global IT infrastructure and support functions with a strong focus on innovation, scalability, and modernization.
As a senior leader, you inspire and coach teams to embrace a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving. Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth within the IT organization, encouraging team members to develop both technical and leadership skills.
Act as a mentor and guide to the IT teams, nurturing them to evolve into high-performing, forward-thinking professionals who align with the company's long-term vision.
Create an environment that promotes innovation, open communication, and a strong sense of ownership across all levels.
Provide overall leadership and direction over network and data center operations, including servers, networks (voice, data, and unified communications), database management, security, production services, PC clients and mobile device support, and Call Center teams (Service Desk)
Create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple departments, including IT, to ensure Infrastructure is aligned with business needs.
Ensure a proactive process and approach to availability, capacity, continuity, and security of the technology platform to allow the daily business to operate and grow without interruption.
Oversee and continually adjust and evolve all infrastructure monitoring processes.
Stays current with, and regularly communicates and mitigates all material risks within area of responsibility.
Manages departmental sub-functions within the broader Infrastructure function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-functions and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-functions and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
Keep us current: Continuously identify opportunities to leverage current technological advancements to maintain a strong infrastructure.
Focus: Ensure that hours invested by everyone in the team on a daily/weekly/monthly basis are in line with organizational and market demands.
Continually collaborates with other IT functions, business functions, and external partners to achieve strategic goals.
Manage external support: In areas where the technical platform is hosted or supported externally, ensure the vendor operating level agreement is well defined and effective, expectations are clear and jointly understood, and performance is in line with expectations.
Cost: Oversee capital expenditures and computing expenses for the company, including budgeting, tracking, and cost containment. Keep the cost structure in line with organizational targets and actively and continually pursue savings opportunities.
Governance: Manage and evolve the IT governance processes including IT business case development, infrastructure demand management, and project prioritization activities.
Vendor management: Manage vendor and service provider relationships, including but not limited to vendor selection, service level agreements, contract negotiation, score carding.
Develop, implement, and continually refresh best practice (e.g. COBIT) policy, standard operating procedures, and IT processes.
Apply both experience and creativity to solve business problems in a secure, effective, and cost-effective manner.
Provide regular reports citing metrics on server and systems monitoring, backups, resource utilization, trends, successes, and challenges.
Prepare disaster recovery site, test exercises and audits (Internal & External) on a regular and timely basis.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Proven track record in a senior leadership role within IT infrastructure, support, or a related field, ideally with experience in a global, fast paced organization.
Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with critical teams to drive alignment and operational success.
Strong ability to lead with a people-first mindset, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated experience in leading teams, with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and talent development.

Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
Ability to formulate and execute a transformational infrastructure strategy.
Provide technical leadership for an empowered technical team.
System and software engineering background to design, develop, deploy, operate, and support full-scale software systems through entire lifecycle.
Strong project management and budgeting skills.
Ability to create and articulate an inspiring, innovative, and impactful vision.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation.
Comfortable and effective at managing multi operating systems and 24/7 availability
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications
B.S. degree in applicable field required.
10+ years of related technical and management experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and developing technical staff
Project management certification preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Primarily office environment
Ability to work extended hours, as necessary.
Light physical effort such as frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
Travel domestically and internationally without restrictions.
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $200 – $230K. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
