Yolo Fliers Club (YFC) is an 18-hole (Par 72) private country club located in Woodland, CA, in Yolo County. In addition to the course, the club has a swimming pool, a two-sided range, chipping and putting areas, plus an indoor simulator center. YFC has an active membership with golf members spanning all ages and skill levels.
YFC has, for numerous years, served as a qualifying site for PGA Tour events (i.e. the Barracuda Championship and the Procore Championship). The club has also been a pre-qualifying site for PGA Tour School.

The Head Golf Professional at YFC is a highly visible leader—someone who knows our members by name, understands the traditions of our Club, and creates an inviting environment for golfers of all ages and abilities. This role requires a warm, approachable personality combined with the skills and experience needed to deliver exceptional service, memorable events, and a smooth, well-run golf operation.
Experience Required
- PGA Class A Professional/Highly Qualified Associate in good standing.
- Significant experience as a Head Golf Professional or First Assistant in a private club environment.
- Proven leadership ability and strong organizational skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, exemplary service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven community outreach efforts, ones that can translate into news members at the club.
- Demonstrated expertise in instruction, tournament administration, and merchandising.
- Proficiency in golf operations technology (POS systems, tee sheets, Golf Genius, etc.).
- High level of personal integrity, professional appearance, and alignment with private club standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Be a Leader in Our Golf Community
- Serve as a welcoming and familiar presence to members and guests on the course, in the shop, and around the Club.
- Build genuine relationships and help foster the friendly, inclusive spirit that Yolo Fliers Club is known for.
- Ensure that the golf experience—whether a casual afternoon round or a major tournament—runs smoothly and professionally.
Support and Grow Member Enjoyment of the Game
- Oversee all daily golf operations with attention to service, pace of play, and overall member satisfaction.
- Create and manage a fun, well-organized calendar of events for men, women, couples, and juniors.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to maintain excellent communication on course conditions, etiquette, and course care.
Instructional Programs
- Provide high-quality private lessons, group clinics, and player development programs for all skill levels.
- Develop and oversee junior golf programming designed to promote participation and skill development.
- Remain current with teaching technologies, methods, and industry advancements.
Staff Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise golf staff, including assistant professionals, golf shop employees, and outside services personnel.
- Foster a professional work environment built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct staff meetings, ongoing training, and performance evaluations to ensure consistent service and operational excellence.
Collaborate Across the Club
- Work closely with the General Manager, Golf Committee, and department heads to support Club-wide goals and future planning.
- Manage budgets responsibly while keeping member experience at the heart of all decisions.
Benefits
- $70,000 - $80,000 Base Salary base on experience.
- Additional Compensation $20,000-$35,000 (Lessons, Clinics, Camps, Club Repair)
