This Tokyo-based role is responsible for the execution and management of International Media partnerships throughout Japan and selected markets in Asia, including Thailand and Malaysia. Key responsibilities include supporting media agreements in these regions, managing communication and information exchange between the PGA TOUR and media partners, and overseeing the development and maintenance of existing relationships. The position also involves collecting relevant data, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, developing new content initiatives, and supporting media and marketing strategies to promote fan engagement and increase golf participation across these markets.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in International Business, Broadcasting & Television, Marketing, Digital Platforms or another related field is required
Five to seven years of work experience in Sports Media or Sports Marketing
Prior experience working with a U.S.-based company either in Japan or the U.S.
Written and spoken fluency in both English and Japanese with cross-cultural skills
Strong understanding of data analytics and confidence presenting to internal stakeholders
Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with prior experience creating presentations for senior management
Previous managerial experience is required
Job requires excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills as well as a detail-oriented individual
Strong work ethic with an ability to lead projects and develop ideas independently
Knowledge of the game of golf preferred, but not required
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization that spans multiple offices in different time zones

Act as the main point of contact for international media client services, supporting existing PGA TOUR rights holders in Japan and assigned Asia markets such as Thailand and Malaysia.
Oversee daily management of media partnerships, including tracking weekly broadcast plans, fulfilling partner commitments, sharing results and trends internally, and assisting with new business development.
Onboard new partners when distribution agreements are finalized in Japan or other relevant markets.
Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of current deals, relationships, and the media landscape in each region.
Collaborate with Data Science Analysts to interpret channel and platform data from partners.
Work alongside senior leadership and colleagues globally to set partnership objectives, establish success metrics, and provide regular reporting.
Engage individual clients to enhance programming, coverage, and service across key territories.
Collect broadcast, marketing, and digital data from partners to analyze ratings, airtime, promotions, and distribution.
Work to leverage and customize any PGA TOUR inventory for maximum promotional impact
Monitor broadcast partners’ platforms to evaluate content strategies and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Report regularly on progress, performance, and partnership updates for each market internally.
Contribute to local media marketing strategy under supervisor direction to support partners and boost PGA TOUR content awareness.
Manage the elevation of marquee events like THE PLAYERS, FedExCup Playoffs, Presidents Cup, territory events, and newly elevated PGA TOUR events.
Coordinate with PR agencies in Japan to market and promote the TOUR.
Provide business development support to both the Director of Business Development, Japan, and SVP International Media Business Development, UK, as needed.
Research media landscapes and audience profiles in priority territories to expand TOUR knowledge and improve business decisions.
Develop market and partnership strategies for existing partners annually, planning for the next calendar year.
Work with PGA TOUR Studios and Broadcast Services to handle footage licensing requests for Japan.
Maintain and grow the JSNA relationship in Japan with monthly communications, regular exposure reports, timely issue resolution, and clear weekly documentation of rights usage.
Collaborate with partners and Broadcast Services to generate new content ideas that utilize distribution channels to grow the PGA TOUR fan base and golf participation in the market.
Contribute to the effective distribution and promotion of TOUR content by working closely with the international content team and supporting TOUR messaging.
Work collaboratively with the Tokyo team and the Global Home International Client Services team.
Support PGA TOUR events in market when necessary.
Handle special projects or additional duties as assigned.
