Position Summary
Reporting to the Director Merchandise Execution, the Sr. Manager of Merchandise Execution is the merchandising and execution expert for multiple categories in HG or SG. The MME role functions as the liaison between merchandising and our store teams. They are charged with creating a proactive, cohesive merchandise execution vision and communication strategy that leads to elevated execution and communication in our stores. This is a cross functional leadership role which collaborates with partners in Merchandising, Visual, OPs and L&D. The MME is responsible for providing timely store feedback, developing execution and merchandise directives, and impactful product communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in weekly DM/MM touch bases to ensure District and SSC alignment.
Owner of seasonal floor plans for all stores and department resets based on annual strategy changes. This is done in partnership with Director, Merchandise Execution and merchant teams.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating Merchandise Standards & Merchandise Directives for their departments and specific categories within that department. This may require partnership with Visual & Marketing Teams on fixture, graphic and signing needed to support.
Aligns with Director, Merchandise Execution and leads detailed coordination of core promotional directives for area of responsibility. These include Father’s Day, Holiday, End of Season Clearance.
Support new store openings with timely specific floorplans and proactive communication with set team prior to GO. MME is the key liaison between the merchants & the store team.
Participate in seasonal product reviews/style outs and coordinate all fixture, floor plan and graphic needs.
Engage in quarterly Merchandising/Operations meetings to ensure alignment and discuss opportunities.
Partner with Learning and Development on creating merchandise execution and selling behavior content for The Links.
Maintain capacity sheets that correspond back to floor plans for designated departments.
Partner with vendor partner visual teams, in conjunction with merchants, to bring vendor visuals to store locations in keeping with merchant direction and merchandising standards.
Coordinate in-store events with operations, marketing, and visual teams.
Regularly communicate key store operations initiatives to the merchant teams.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of retail leadership required.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
Proven aptitude for building relationships, credibility, and trust with internal stakeholders, and creating a harmonious work environment.
Solution-oriented and innovative; can identify creative options that address multiple stakeholders’ needs.
Ability to organize multiple priorities to ensure that key processes and procedures are implemented and that resources are properly allocated to meet organizational goals.
Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to management team key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Results driven demonstrated with successful outcomes.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
