Halesworth Golf Club is situated just a few miles from the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast and is set in 200 acres of stunning undulating countryside. We offer a wide range of top-class facilities, including an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole pay-and-play course, a floodlit driving range, short game practice area, golf shop and a very modern clubhouse. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Professional to gain hands-on experience in both the retail and coaching aspects of the golf industry.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the Management team, in delivering a 5* golf experience for members and guests. This role will focus on retail operations, member and guest engagement, and developing coaching and custom fitting services to enhance the overall offering at Halesworth Golf
KEY DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide 5* customer service in the Golf Shop, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and hospitality.
- Assist in daily retail operations including merchandising, stock management, point of sale, and financial procedures.
- Support the professional team with golf tuition, custom fitting sessions, and the running of junior and academy programmes.
- Maintain accurate data for lessons, fittings, and member activities.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of golf events and club competitions.
- Support outside services and overall presentation of facilities when required.
- Act as an ambassador for Halesworth Golf, actively promoting the club and its services.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Registered PGA Assistant Professional (or qualified PGA Professional).
- Retail, merchandising, and point-of-sale experience within a golf environment.
- Coaching experience across a range of abilities, ideally including juniors.
- Familiarity with golf booking and retail software
- Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings and evenings as required.
