Retail Coordinator - Whistling Straits

Opportunity
The Retail Coordinator at Whistling Straits will work under limited supervision in the retail outlets and will be the primary in-store receiver for managing inbound and outbound vendor shipments. The Retail Coordinator will log newly received inventory, generate pricing materials, and stocking product. The Retail Coordinator will also perform the responsibilities of a Sales Associate as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Sign and document the receipt of containers of merchandise.
- Verify contents against vendors packing lists or other receiving documents.
- Compare contents with PO’s, receivers and invoices.
- Assist retail leader in preparing purchase orders and entering product into Dataworks
inventory system. - Generate pricing materials and label accordingly.
- Ensure logoed merchandise meets our Kohler Co. branding guidelines / standards.
- Work directly with vendors on return of defective or unacceptable goods, errors, pricing,
duplicate or partial shipments. - Assist in control of direct operating expenses by maintaining appropriate levels for all
controllable supplies. - Prepare for and participate in physical inventory count and reconciliation.
- Lead in the restocking of merchandise and cleanliness of outlet.
- Responsible for displays, fixture arrangement and overall appearance of the outlet.
- Responsible for maintenance of store displays as directed.
- Assist with communicating and coordinating vendor meetings with sales rep during
buying season. - Greet, welcome and assist all guests on their purchasing needs and educate them on
the products and services provided. - Assist in overall organization of outlet by making sure that size runs are complete, and
merchandise is in the proper location and folded or hung neatly. - Continually learn more about the products carried in the outlets through vendor
presentations and supervisor/associate meetings. - Assist in maintenance of outlet: Cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, glass and window
cleaning, sweeping, garbage removal, etc. - Suggestive sell our retail offerings, in-store promotions and inform guests of events.
- Cashiering and finalizing the Sale: opening and closing of register, ringing sales (cash,
credit card, gift certificate, room charges etc.), processing coupons, discounts,
markdowns, and end-of-day reports. - Assist in the training of new Retail Associates.
- Place special orders.
- Assist retail leader in coming up with promotions and execution.
Skills/Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years previous retail experience required with previous experience in
receiving and inventory. - High school diploma or equivalency required, Associates degree preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent mathematical skills required and advanced skills in Excel.
- Previous experience with Dataworks and Springer Miller software desired.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers and associates of the organization.
- Customer service-oriented personality
- The ability to walk and stand for the majority of each shift and to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in other Kohler Hospitality locations in Q1 to maintain full-time status.
