Burnham & Berrow Golf Club would like to invite applications for the post of Assistant Greenkeeper. The championship links course is ranked 29th in Great Britain & Ireland, with the Channel course being amongst the best 9-hole courses in the country. Burnham & Berrow is hosting the R&A final open qualifiers from 2024-2027.
The Assistant Greenkeeper that joins the team will help to improve and develop the finer details of the Links. The Club have recently invested in new greenkeeping facilities, as well as adding to and upgrading the existing fleet of equipment. In addition, the club has committed to developing the course with future projects such as a new short game facility, a channel course masterplan and a second reservoir.
Desired 2 years’ experience in a greenkeeping/sportsturf environment.
Preferably qualified to NVQ level 2 in sportsturf management.
PA1, PA2 and PA6 qualifications (desirable but not essential).
A good understanding of greenkeeping practices, operating mowers and Health and Safety protocols.
This role is aimed at an experienced greenkeeper, however it may suit someone seeking a new career, as full training and education will be given. Therefore, if you have an interest in the sportsturf industry, do not let the desired requirements put you off.

Schedule:
40 hours per week (Monday- Friday) with a weekend work on a rota basis (every third weekend)
