Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Accountant at Rapsodo is responsible for managing all aspects of full-cycle accounting. They will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeline of financial records. The role supports the company’s growth and operations by maintaining efficient accounting practices in compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, is proactive, and has experience with handling a variety of accounting functions within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP): Responsible for all aspects of A/P for the Rapsodo US entity. This includes but is not limited to processing and tracking vendor invoices, assisting with purchase orders, performing three-way matching, and ensuring timely payments.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Mange customer invoicing, deposit checks, daily recording of all cash receipts through various payment platforms, monitor collections, and handle payment processing as needed.
- Fixed Assets: Maintain/update the Fixed Asset Module (FAM) in NetSuite and calculate depreciation in accordance with company policies.
- Month-End Close: Responsible for month-end closing process and quarter-end reporting
- Audit Support: Assist with external audits by providing necessary schedules to external auditors. Liaise with auditors and respond to all queries in a timely manner. This individual needs to be able to explain A/R and A/P processes to auditors if questions about processes/procedure arise.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency. Support in special projects and processes improvement initiatives.
- Financial Reporting: Weekly reporting on Aged A/R, Aged A/P, order backlog, and any other ad hoc reports as assigned
- Budget Support: Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary limits.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Able to handle tasks independently and within a tight deadline
- Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with Netsuite accounting system is preferred but not required
- Experience with SaaS revenue recognition is a plus
- CPA or progress toward certification is preferred but not required
