JOB OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for installation, repair, maintenance & operational responsibilities associated with HVAC equipment, plant wide process piping, water chillers, & filtration systems. Including PM service (i.e. weekly, monthly, & etc.) and housekeeping
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair, maintenance & operational responsibilities associated with HVAC equipment, plant wide process piping, & water chillers. Including PM service
- Support vacuum systems, electrical and mechanical systems, fire protection, air compressors & filtration systems, including manufacturing process systems and facility infrastructure throughout the Chicopee site
- Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (C.M.M.S.) to report and record equipment-related actions.
- Complete repair work in a timely manner based on manufacturers and programming guidelines.
- Report all major breakdowns and provide status updates to systems as needed
- Maintain equipment and room cleanliness
- Works towards improvements for process efficiencies
- Work in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processes
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Ability to solve problems independently
- Ability to make decisions independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read and write through various means of communication
- Understanding of injection molding
- Understanding of mechanical concepts related to manufacturing
- Basic understanding of math concepts
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC Certification
- Refrigeration license (J1 or J2 Journeyman)
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Infrequent reaching into and working in confined spaces, including machinery
- The work environment is very loud
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. infrequently
