Guest Service Supervisor | Golf Club of Estrella
The Guest Service Supervisor plays a key role in creating a positive experience for guests and members by leading outside services and providing guidance to Guest Services associates. This role primarily focuses on outside service supervision but also includes training and the ability to assist as a Sales Attendant when needed.
Essential Duties:
- Works with the Tournament Coordinator to organize groups and outings, ensuring staff and facility readiness.
- Greets golfers at bag drop and assists with unloading golf bags.
- Maintains accurate records of rental clubs, assists customers renting clubs, and cleans rental clubs upon return.
- Ensures the upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot, including assisting with cleaning golf shops, restrooms, and patio areas.
- Inventories and controls all guest supplies.
- Monitors player service activity and etiquette, educating players on course policies, cart rules, and pace of play.
- Maintains a clean and organized cart storage and wash-down area.
- Prepares and stages golf carts for play following Troon Golf standards.
- Assists players by changing golf spikes and cleaning clubs.
- Performs range maintenance, including presenting the practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, and ball pyramids, while maintaining ball inventory throughout the day.
- Assists with food and beverage activities as needed.
- May assist in directing the start of play.
- Performs Sales Attendant duties and other operational responsibilities as assigned by the Head Professional.
- Assists in interviewing, training, planning, and directing work for department associates. Provides input on hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Supports the coordination of Guest Services Attendants and Starters.
- Monitors business volume forecasts and adjusts manpower, productivity, and expenses accordingly.
- Assists in communicating changes, policies, and procedures to the department.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks or hear. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Regularly works in wet or humid condition (non-weather). Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License
