The Commercial Intern is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for Commercial Group hospitality and events as well as sales research and materials updates.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Partnership Sales
Partnership Activation
Events and Hospitality
Assist in planning and staffing Commercial and partner hospitality at upcoming spectator championships as well as other events the Commercial Group will be planning and participating in including but not limited to:
Invites
Food and beverage
Transportation
Hotel blocks
Golf outings
Gifting
Assist in research and planning for NYC office outings including golf and community service
On- site Championship support
2025 Ryder Cup Support
Assist the corporate hospitality teams with special projects that include, but not limited to:
Prospecting for sales prospects
Researching current hospitality trends, pricing and services that could be incorporated into existing strategy
Assisting with client service needs when available - (Attending in person meetings, phone calls, etc)
Supporting special events for corporate hospitality clients
Ancillary Ryder Cup events
Assist Championship Director and special events team as they build out events like Ryder Cup Year-to-Go, Premier Week, Captains Pick Announcements and others.
Research NYC hotels, restaurants, venues, etc that can be used by both Championships and other PGA of America departments to plan for the 2025 Ryder Cup
Goals

Manage databases and input information, data, and records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, or equivalent. Must be a rising Junior and above enrolled in a degree program or recent college graduate.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of business operations. Ability to work without daily supervision. Knowledge of computer design software and a demonstrated understanding of Google Workspace and database tools.

Ability to travel required up 10% of the time. Travel to PGA Championship required.
Ability to transport moderately heavy tournament equipment and supplies.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time during events.
The approximate pay for this position is $18.75/hour. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
The internship will run from January to November 2025.
