The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world’s best golfers. HISTORY
LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.
The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.
LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. Role objectives
Reporting to the Director, Tournament Presentation, this position will help coordinate, manage and implement the planning, preparing, and execution of all aspects of the LIV Golf events.
The job entails dealing and collaborating with departments and contractors on the different dynamics of LIV Golf live events, including not limited to live music concerts, entertainment, promotions, props, scripting, PA announcements, sponsor fulfillment, and contests.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the development and execution of the on-course experience efforts for the LIV Golf Event Production team
- Write scripts, organize and write run-of-shows, develop interactive contests, assist in show calling and serve as a manager within contracted crew and staff
- Supervise all on-course pageantry, including but not limited to: Frog-X Parachute team, hype team, DJ, Fan Village entertainment acts, and other duties as assigned
- Develop and ideate sellable promotional opportunities that benefit our fans and corporate sales team
- Show call LIV Golf event presentation by producing videoboard show through the event, including different videoboard shows, including Party Hole, 18th hole and 1st tee
- Produce and stage manage different on-course elements , liaising with event management companies, helping with welcome parties and off-site events, and coordinating live music elements for all LIV Golf tournaments and events
- Coordinate and assist on all on-course ceremonies, including pre-shotgun and podium ceremonies
- Provide direction to all hype teams members, to ensure each contest, performance, and elements are accurately implemented
- Collaborate with internal departments, including event experience- to develop elements and promotions that maximize the fan experience while supporting internal initiatives and sponsorship activations
- Assist in creating documents for each game including PA scripts, game formats, and timing sheets
- Manage activation inventory to ensure fulfillment of sponsorship contracts
- Work to support other LIV Golf events that require live event production
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Extensive international travel required, up to 12-14 days during back-to-back tournaments
Experience and Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a related sports , entertainment or broadcast role
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive and encouraging working relationships
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Strong computer software background using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure, problem solve, and attention to detail
- Proven strategic thinker and an excellent communicator
- Proactive planner with a sense of urgency, creativity, style, and attention to detail
- Possess a valid driver’s license
