HISTORY
LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.
The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.
LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. Role Objective
We are looking for a core member of the Majesticks GC team, a sports franchise within the LIV Golf League. The candidate will be fully integrated in all facets of the business with a particular focus on team logistics, and general administration. Reporting to the Team Principal of Majesticks GC, this exciting role will encompass working with the leadership team internally whilst also regularly liaising with the four team members.
Responsibilities
Alongside demonstrable internal and external communications experience, the ideal candidate will have possess strong administration skills and a meticulous attention to detail. You will also have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to work with people around the world. Key responsibilities include:
- Support in all (pre, during & post) tournament logistics and various tasks in support of team members including players, caddies, staff & VIP’s
- Contribute to departmental operations, including budget management and internal communication
- Coordinating and scheduling complex calendar appointments that constantly change
- Booking and arranging travel, visas, transport, and accommodation for the team
- Collating and filing expenses using the franchise expense system
- Scheduling team meetings around the globe for senior business executives and team members
- Administering and troubleshooting during those meetings, including minute taking, arranging presentation equipment, local transport, amenities, catering, etc
- Assisting with the preparations of documents for meetings, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, etc
- Assist with exclusive team experiences to clients throughout the season
- Organisation and upkeep of sharepoint filing system
- Attend any LIV Golf tournaments as requested
- Special Projects or other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative/logistics role
- Previous experience working in Professional Sports
- Familiar with arranging travel, visas, and accommodation
- Good understanding of sports and entertainment sponsorships; including promotions, events and general activation strategy
- High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, ever changing international environment
- Ability to be proactive and take the initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong understanding of marketplace on a global level
- Superior organization and attention to detail
- Works to deliver service excellence
- Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday
- Must have ability to travel internationally, sometimes up to 3 weeks away
- Knowledge of Professional Golf (preferred)
- Previous experience working with professional athletes (preferred)
