History
LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event ‘Invitational Series.’ 2023 saw the inaugural LIV Golf League host 14 events around the world, from Adelaide to Chicago, Andalucía to Singapore, as well as launch the game’s first Team franchises, captained by some of golf’s most decorated superstars.
The format, respecting the history and traditions of the game, has been optimized for modern day sports fans; 3-days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, offering a faster pace-of play to drive engaging storylines and offer an immersive fan experience.
The events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast around the world to over 300million homes, deliver a family-friendly environment, festival-style atmosphere, evening concert entertainment and world-class competition; a combination that is unique to the world of golf.
In 2024, LIV Golf will further expand the reach of the League, splitting the schedule between some of the most iconic venues across Asia, Europe and the Middle East with decorated venues in the US. The full player pathway, created in partnership with the Asian Tour, also launches, with the game’s first ever player Promotion and Relegation, and Player Transfer Window, as the holistic integration of LIV Golf is fully delivered.

Role Objective
This hands-on position will lead a functional team within the Information Security Team and will report to the CISO. The successful candidate will be responsible for cloud security, end point security, application security, database security, network security, and security operations. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and deploying information security technologies to support the team’s efforts in securing the company’s information and enforcing LIV Golf security policies. Building stakeholder partnerships is integral to succeeding in this role. Excellence is an expectation, and strong communications, leadership, teamwork, and agility are critical success factors.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. risk, legal, IT) to align security initiatives with business goals and objectives.
- Participate in (hands-on) and oversee the implementation of information security technologies primarily in the Google GCP and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Perform technical security reviews and advise project teams on integrating security into applications, networks, servers, architecture, and databases to ensure secure deployments.
- Ensure information security requirements are integrated into the design, implementation, and operations of existing and new enterprise applications and systems.
- Implementation, management, and daily administration of our cloud security solutions and tools.
- Mature the team’s incident response plan and perform table-top exercises.
- Perform security and risk assessments of cloud infrastructure and SaaS platforms.
- Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs.
- Lead and develop direct reports and collaborative teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards through implementation of appropriate security controls and practices.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 15 years progressive experience in information security.
- Hands-on experience in the engineering and administration of Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiar with Generative AI concepts and able to advise on related security concerns.
- CISSP, CISM, CISA, ITIL, or other related information security certification.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing people and teams.
- BS degree in Information Security, other related area, or demonstrable subject matter expertise.
- Project Management Experience.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of securing the Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or AWS environment(s).
- Strong knowledge of information security products and implementations, with an emphasis in the areas of cloud security.
- Strong knowledge of Access Controls, Directory Services, infrastructure, and technical standards.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and UNIX security principles and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network architecture.
- Strong knowledge of secure application development and database security.
- Working understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP and network security protocols.
- Project Management and staff career development.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong management skills, hands-on approach, and straightforward communication.
- Ability to manage up and down.
