Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass is looking for a superintendent for the Devil's Claw Course. The superintendent is responsible for the daily job assignments as well as nightly irrigation setup. They will onboard our new associates and spend time training and giving feedback to the team. The superintendent will work with the Director of Agronomy to design both short- and long-term plans to ensure the continued success of Devil's Claw.
The superintendent is the leader of the Devil's Claw team and must have a positive attitude with a desire to push for continual improvement of his staff and course. With temperatures consistently over 110 degrees in the summer, the superintendent must have a firm understanding of all aspects of irrigation. Desert overseeding experience is not required but is strongly preferred.
While the LPGA tour will likely stick to the Cattail course going forward, the courses are maintained to the same standards all other times of the year. Devil's Claw recently became the first Whirlwind course to be named as one of Golfweek's Top 200 Resort Courses. The Devil's Claw superintendent will be very involved in the preparation for next year's event and critical to our success.

2+ years as an assistant or other management role
