We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team at South Bend Country Club. This individual will work closely with the Superintendent and play a key role in the maintenance and management of the golf course and grounds. The Assistant Superintendent will assist in the management of the crew as it pertains to day to day activities along with any projects throughout the season.
Responsibilities:
* Train Personnel in all aspects of golf course maintenance
* Supervise the crew
*Assist in planning and executing mowing, irrigation, aerification schedules
*Assist with pesticide/fertilizer applications and keep records/inventory
*Manage soil moisture levels daily
*Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues and breaks
*Daily Scouting for disease
2 or 4 year degree or Certificate in Turf grass Management or a related field.
Candidate must have good communication skills and a strong work ethic. Must be a team player, and looking to grow in the turf industry
Current Indiana Pesticide License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of being hired.
