Bill Wright Golf Complex at Jefferson Park is looking for an experienced and motivated Head Golf Professional to lead all aspects of our high-volume, 18-hole championship golf course and 9-hole short course. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong operational expertise, a passion for growing the game, and the ability to create an exceptional experience for golfers of all skill levels.
Overview
Bill Wright Golf Complex (formerly Jefferson Park Golf Course) has one of the richest histories in public golf in the Seattle Area. Founded in 1915, we are the oldest public golf course in Seattle. Under the moniker of Jefferson Park Golf Course, we have established ourselves as one the busiest and most diverse golf courses in the area. With an 18-Hole championship golf course, a 9-hole short course, and a 50 stall, heated, covered, TopTracer equipped range, we are able to accommodate the needs of all golfers needs at any skill level.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Class A PGA Membership is preferred, but experienced Assistant Golf Professionals and PGA Associates in good standing will be considered.

Previous experience as a Head Golf Professional or a highly experienced Assistant Golf Professional at a high-volume facility is preferred.

Demonstrated success in managing golf operations, staff leadership, tournament execution, and customer engagement.

Essential Responsibilities
- Golf Operations & Customer Experience

Oversee all aspects of daily golf operations, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all golfers.

Implement and enforce policies and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Maintain a strong presence around the course and clubhouse, engaging with golfers and staff to ensure high service standards.
- Staff Management & Leadership

Recruit, train, schedule, and manage golf operations staff, including pro shop attendants, outside service personnel, and assistants.

Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment, ensuring staff is motivated and well-equipped to provide top-tier service.

Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Tournaments & Leagues

Plan, organize, and execute tournaments, leagues, and special events, ensuring seamless operations and great player experiences.

Collaborate with local golf organizations, community groups, and municipal partners to expand golf participation.

Compile detailed records of all non-golf related facility usage for internal tracking.
- Administrative & Financial Oversight

Manage tee time reservations, pace of play, and course utilization to optimize efficiency.

Oversee pro shop operations, including merchandise selection, inventory control, and retail sales strategies.

Assist with financial reporting and other administrative duties as assigned.

Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and municipal policies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $78,000 - $79,000 with additional earning opportunities through private instruction and merchandise sales commission.
