Due to us expanding our Housekeeping Team, we are currently looking for a Turndown Housekeeper to join us and be a part of the SCHLOSS Roxburghe Housekeeping team! This is a permanent, part-time role based on 20 hours per week, working 5 days over 7. You must be available to work evenings and weekends. The shift time is 5.30pm-9.30pm.
We offer a competitive salary of £11.90 per hour plus gratuities* and excellent employee benefits.
*Gratuities (tips) are an additional charge added onto services and are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. The amount is not guaranteed and is depended on service charge paid.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- To consistently ensure that all rooms are prepared at turndown and presented to the luxury standards set out by SCHLOSS Roxburghe to ensure the best quality for our guests
- You will ensure that the furniture, equipment and appliances are in clean and flawless condition, well maintained
- To report any faults or broken items to Housekeeping management
- Ensure that all procedures concerning guest safety are followed including but not limited to; lost property, key control and confidentiality
- You will take pride in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all guest areas

Proven Experience/Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience is not essential as full training will be given
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English

Turndown role - based on a minimum of 15 hours, 5 /7 evenings per week working hours are 18.00 to 21.00
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Housekeeper - we are looking for a candidate who has the ability to display great leadership skills, deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care. We require a Housekeeper who has previous experience within a similar role. You will be responsible for cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms according to the given standards according to system and regulations. The role shall also include some material and laundry requirements.

SCHLOSS Roxburghe is an exceptional country house estate with a Championship Golf Course and a range of outdoor activities, nestled in the beautiful Scottish Borders but little more than an hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Newcastle.
Formerly owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the hotel, golf club and grounds are undergoing an extensive refurbishment, building a separate extension to feature 58 additional rooms as well as a luxurious spa, a state-of-the-art meeting space and 60 lodges will be built on the surrounding estate. With the hotel and estate growing there will be many opportunities for growth and development throughout 2022!
