ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our internship program gives you an excellent opportunity to gain valuable practical experience to complement your academic pursuits. We can tailor our internship calendar to coincide with your summer break. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in the summer of 2025 and will be projected to graduate in the Fall/Winter of 2025 or Spring of 2026.
This role will require the intern to be onsite at our Carlsbad, CA location.
Job Summary:
The IT Business Applications Intern – Accounting and Finance will support the IT department in managing and enhancing business application systems used across the organization. This role will work closely with the Accounting and Finance IT Business Application teams to document customer requirements, troubleshoot system issues and support continuous improvement and business enhancements. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct data analysis, and develop training materials, while also participating in project implementation and testing efforts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in application management, data analysis, and user support within a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support and training for end-users.
• Collaborate with project teams on ongoing initiatives.
• Document processes, workflows, and application specifications.
• Participate in quality assurance testing and gather user feedback.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within IT and Business organizations.
Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance.
• Familiarity with business applications and basic data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Exposure to low-code applications for process automation.
