Works closely with Superintendent in planning daily tasks, cultural practices, budgeting, and team management.
As a leader, works hand in hand with year-round and seasonal staff in daily setup, maintenance and special projects.
Trains staff in the safe operation of all GC equipment.
Assists in the operation, repair and maintenance GC irrigation and pumping systems. Participates in the daily programming of irrigation cycles and record keeping.
Monitors golf course playing surfaces during the growing season, ensuring proper water, nutrient, and disease prevention levels.
Assists with winter projects, planning and equipment R&M.

Strong irrigation knowledge, and experience with pump systems, Lynx software, repair/management, daily operation is a plus.
Pesticide and Fertilizer application experience is a plus
Minimum of 2-3 years Golf Course Maintenance experience.

Perform at high level under stressful situations and conditions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Leading and assisting the team, delegating and assigning daily assignments, providing guidance, training, coaching, and assistance, and ensuring work is completed as expected and in a timely manner.
Identifying, evaluating, and recommending corrective action for agronomic problem areas, including funguses, pests, and drainage issues.
Planning, directing, and assisting with the daily set-up and maintenance of the course, including routine course maintenance.
Inspect irrigation systems, identify issues, and implement corrective action.
Identifying preventative measures and assessing turfgrass issues.
Educating and ensuring the team is aware of and follows safe work practices, and maintaining facilities and equipment that are safe, clean, and organized.
