Qualified candidates will have previous experience as an Assistant Golf Professional, thrive in a hospitality environment, and be highly focused on providing superior customer service.
The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team and will assist the Head Golf Professional in managing all aspects of the golf operation.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- 2-3 years golf industry experience preferred
- College degree (PGM) preferred
- PGA Member or Apprentice
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
- Must possess basic computer skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional appearance at all times
- Assist the Head Golf Professional in the daily management of all golf operations, including member / guest events and tournaments
- Provide outstanding customer service to all members and guest, ensuring a welcoming, friendly and professional environment.
- Assist the Head Golf Professional in the purchase of operating supplies, golf merchandise and promotional items.
- Promote and manage the clubs golf instruction program
- Assist in coordinating of individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the Head Golf Professional
- Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, etc. for management
- Works closely with Marshall and Starter to monitor all aspects of play including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course and golf course markings
- Assists in reconciliation of daily business
- Promote the game of golf for all members and guest
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
