Responsible for working within the Research department and primarily involved in activities related to electromechanical systems (mechatronics), Internet of Things (IoT) algorithm, software development and implementation and performance optimization of our products. Provide testing, modeling, and optimization to support these activities. More specifically, responsible for the following: Explore, design, review, test and implement electrical, mechatronic, and loT systems as they relate to our products and processes in development, testing, validation, and deployment. Investigate new and innovative ways of assessing golf equipment and player performance. Develop and implement internal and external software packages and mobile applications for the trade and consumers that help optimize our equipment for player performance and educate golfers. Participate in and support activities related to the study of golf performance through experimental and computational means. Define and communicate technical requirements and specification effectively across multiple disciplines including but not limited to research, development, engineering, legal, and partnerships/suppliers outside the company. Capture, maintain, process, analyze, and communicate with and around large sets of data explaining golf equipment and player performance. Generate numerical models for optimization of equipment performance and matching of players to product to extract their optimal performance. Test development and evaluation. Report generation and presentation. Communication with multiple departments. Support development and engineering for electrical, mechatronic, and IoT systems.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field, plus four (4) years of experience in a Mechatronics or related occupation.
OR
Alternate Education and Experience: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in a Mechatronics or related occupation.
Must have (skills)
Must have experience with the following:
- Two (2) years of demonstrated experience understanding the evaluation, design, synthesis, and selection of systems that combine mechanical and electrical components with contemporary controls, microprocessors, and data transmission systems;
- Two (2) years of experience with prototyping / building and testing electronic, mechatronic, and IoT systems;
- Two (2) years of experience in programming (MATLAB, C, and Python), databases, and statistical modeling;
- One (1) year of experience with software development and implementation;
- Demonstrated knowledge in experimental data collection and statistical analysis;
- Demonstrated knowledge with data science and algorithm development;
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical design and mechanical simulation; and
- Demonstrated knowledge working with numerous departments within and outside of research, development, and engineering.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
