The QC technician will support TM global quality system implementation at TM suppliers. This position will focus on driving Quality Control Plan (QCP) training and execution, driving continuous supplier quality improvements on reliable measurement system, EWQ system and minimization of DMR’s of outgoing quality by conducting TMQE audits, coordinating quality meetings with suppliers and collaborating with TM Assembly and Engineering teams.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of TM General Quality Procedures (GQP) and TM Global Quality Manual (GQM) at TM Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers in Asia.
- Work with TM manufacturing engineers and suppliers to validate quality control plans and train supplier teams on requirements and solid implementation.
- Drive supplier quality reporting activities with templated TM reporting formats and databases (Windchill and DOMO etc.), validate and improve supplier measurement system (gauge calibration/GR&R etc.), track data collection and reporting status per TM requirements.
- Conduct daily audits upon quality control plans and TM Master audit plan, communicate audit findings back to suppliers and drive real-time corrective/preventative actions.
- Coordinate weekly quality meeting with supplier quality teams for continuous improvements on EWQ/DMR issue, auditing findings with problem solving tracker for 4C/A3 status tracking.
- Collaborate with TM Assembly quality team on feedback and drive supplier response with cause analysis, CA’s and PA’s.
- Assist tests that conducted by TM engineers if needed, collect and send the data that required.
- Performs other responsibilities as required
Education, Work Experience and Professional Certifications:
- University or college diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing/QC environment
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and basic computing skills
- Good English and Vietnamese, written and oral skill required. Additional good Chinese oral skill is preferred
- Responsible, independent, active and result-oriented.
- Self-Motivated having demonstrated initiative toward professional and personal growth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable coordination of projects within departments and outside consultants.
- Capable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovations.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Normal office and manufacturing floor conditions.
- Domestic travel required.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
