About this role:
The Coordinator, Handicapping and Course rating is primarily responsible for responding to all general inquiries from both internal and external sources. The Coordinator will analyze all inquiries and maintain metrics by categories and help to identify areas of concerns, trends or opportunities for education. This requires a firm understanding of the World Handicap System™ and how to apply its procedures. The Coordinator will also assist with oversight of the Club Authorization program - tracking and reporting of authorized golf clubs, and writing and reviewing documents to support Club Handicap Committees in fulfilling their responsibilities.
What you'll do:
- Respond to daily inquiries regarding the WHS™, including the Course Rating System™ via Zen Desk ticketing system and phone calls.
- Create monthly reports to track the authorization status of golf clubs under the Allied Golf Associations (AGAs).
- Provide administrative assistance with the Golfer Product Access program.
- Assist with development and support of Handicap education content on USGA website.
- Identity infringements of WHS and/or USGA trademarks or improper use of terminology and alert manager to record compliance issues.
- Provide support for the USGA/AGA GC including golfer support, membership registration issues and processing refund requests.
- Assist with the organization and coordination of Handicapping and Course Rating training sessions, including moderating and responding to inquiries during session, and the distribution of resource materials following the presentation.
- Document frequently asked questions and develop/maintain standard response templates to assist with responding to inquiries.
- Work with our Allied Golf Associations and provide support for their delivery of core services to their clubs and golfers.
- Assist with other department projects as needed.
Where you'll be:
- This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday.
What you bring:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the game of golf and the World Handicap System strongly preferred
- Experience with ZenDesk is a plus
- Excellent oral/written communication skills required for responding to inquires in a tactful and timely manner
- Ability to work as a teammate in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar tools required
- Ability to follow systems and procedures with attention to detail
- Initiative and competency to take ownership of specific projects
