This position is responsible for coordinating global supply chain activity for the equipment category. Specifically, monitoring of supply-demand activities in support of commercial targets for all markets. Part of this effort involves arranging GTM functions that require alignment with Product Development and material planning teams in order to plan capacities and inventories. In addition, this role manages sourcing functions required to set up and maintain supplier performance and relationships for direct and indirect suppliers. Includes collaboration with Product Creation teams to enable supplier selection and project awards.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage supply chain QBR meetings with TaylorMade QBR members and Supplier Executives. Build up a share point folder to keep all meeting records/slides. Follow up action items from the meeting. Track projects status. eg. new factory set up or new supplier on board etc.
- Work with TaylorMade QBR members to define sourcing strategies, track strategies execution with related parties by making sure the sourcing split is followed as planned.
- Work with Product Creation, Engineering, Costing and Purchasing to select T2 components by project. Generate award letters and distribute them to the T2 suppliers to make sure all the expectations are aligned.
- Work with Engineering team on new material source if there is any. Set up new suppliers in TaylorMade system as needed.
- Group internal QBR team members for supply chain status update from time to time.
- Follow up and manage to solve any high-level sourcing issues.
- Supply/Inventory management. Lead Global Planning team to understand regional inventory coverage status. Highlight risk and assist regions to address inventory excess or shortage issue. Transfer inventory in between regions as needed to mitigate risk.
- In time/on time GTM management. Lead Global Planner to understand, communicate regional GTM expectation to Purchasing Team. Manage regional fulfillment by project at Receiving point. When there is constraint, allocate launch as needed. Represent Supply Chain to communicate project risk in Master Calendar meetings.
- Global and Regional forecast Understanding. Summarize month to month forecast changes and distribute to Ops team. Highlight possible risk to whole supply chain team in the purpose of getting ready to solve supply chain issue.
- Leads, builds, develops, and motivates a strong team of individuals to perform at the highest level; facilitates and fosters a continuous learning and collaboration environment within the team.
- Perform other related responsibilities as required
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels and across multiple business teams.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with relational databases (i.e. MS Access, Business Objects, etc.)
- Proficient in Oracle or equivalent ERP
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner.
- Ability to influence at all levels and with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong quantitative & qualitative skills with the ability to analyze data / detail.
- Strong planning and communication skills
- Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Problem Solving methodology certification preferred
- 7+ years of related supply chain experience in a high-throughput environment (>10 Million annual units).
- 5+ or more years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- 3 years’ experience in product development role preferred
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Primarily office environment with frequent computer use
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Occasional domestic travel required
- Light physical effort equals frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $135,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
