The Glamorganshire Golf club, one of the premier golf courses in South Wales, are seeking an ambitious individual to manage all aspects of the golf operations, to the highest standards. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a driven individual, working with the new management of the club, to grow our business and drive customer satisfaction levels for members and visitors.
Objectives -
To provide members of The Glamorganshire GC with a central point of contact for key aspects within the club and to welcome visitors.To co-ordinate, manage and organise, in conjunction with the COO, the golf operations within the club. Oversee competitions, matches and society business, whilst ensuring all details of those are properly communicated to both members and visitors. To provide Office and Systems Administration.
- Take responsibility for all golf course bookings/tee time administration for visitors, societies, open days, charity days etc.
- To pro-actively plan, organise and co-ordinate major clubs days – to include but not limited to Open Days, Captains Day, Club Championship, Finals Day, Presentation Evening.
- To act as the ‘hub’ for communication to members and visitors through appropriate channels including email, noticeboards, IT systems, and social media.
- To deal with any member or visitor enquiry in person through the office or via phone and email.
- To assist in the efficient management of the office and where necessary help in managing the Club premises to ensure maximum member and visitor satisfaction
- To professionally and efficiently deal with all aspects of golf society bookings. This will encompass handling telephone, email or postal enquiries, taking deposits, correctly quoting all golf and catering prices and wherever possible finding a suitable date for the booking.
- To proactively seek opportunities to increase the golf experience for members and visitors
- Meet relevant financial targets as agreed with the Chief operation Officer
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. They will need to be organised, highly motivated and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
