History
LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event “Invitational Series” 2023 saw the inaugural LIV Golf League host 14 events around the world, from Adelaide to Chicago, Andalucía to Singapore. The same year, the League launched the game’s first Team Franchised, captained by some of golf’s most
decorated superstars. The format, respecting the history and traditions of the game, has been optimized for modern day sports fan; 3- days, 54 holes, no cut, and a shotgun start. LIV Golf offers a faster pace-of-play to drive engaging storylines and an immersive fan experience. The events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and are broadcasted around the world to over 300 million homes, deliver a family-friendly environment, festival-type atmosphere, evening concert entertainment and world-class competition. The combination is unique to the world of golf, and comparable to none. In 2024 and 2025, LIV Golf will further expand the reach of the League, splitting the schedule between global iconic venues across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and decorated venues throughout the US. The full player pathway, created in partnership with the Asian Tour, launches the game’s first ever player promotion event, player relegation, and a player transfer window, as the holistic integration of LIV Golf is fully delivered. Role Objective:
Iron Heads Golf Club, one of 13 teams within LIV Golf, is looking to recruit a Social Media Manager. This individual will be tasked with managing all digital channels for the team, including ideating new concepts & strategies, capturing material on-site, and monitoring performance to create actionable insights. Candidates must have prior experience working with athletes and/or talent, and interest in sports.
- Responsibilities:
•Manage all digital channels for Iron Heads GC, including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
•Ensure active content across all channels and create actionable insights on how content can be improved from week to week. This role is responsible for the growth in followers and interaction across all content on all channels.
•Ideate new content and constantly work with other stakeholders within the team, including Marketing, Team Management, Players, and others, to consistently create new ideas while maintaining the team’s vision and brand identity.
•Create content strategies that are actionable, from annual goals to daily activities. Utilized various social listening tools and analysis to provide weekly reports to the team general manager regarding content performance.
•Work with various other departments within the Iron Heads Golf Club and the entire LIV organization to ensure best outcomes – including Marketing, Broadcast, Communications, Merchandise, and others.
- Required Skills:
•4+ years experience managing social channels of athletes or sports related properties.
•4+ years experience content production (short and long-form)
•In-depth understanding of the digital and social media landscape, in particular how platforms are used to achieve business objectives
•Excellent project management within a multi-platform campaign
•Attention to detail and ability to multitask in tight deadline windows
•Ability to travel to all events and work nights or weekends as necessary
•Strong knowledge of professional golf. Experience working in golf is highly preferable
•Understanding or strong interest of the digital and social media landscape in Korea, in particular how platforms are used to achieve business objectives
•Basic ability of design and photoshop, including basic presentation editing.
