We're hiring a Head Golf Professional at La Paloma Country Club.

Ideal candidates are positive, service and team-oriented, able to work in small or large groups, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. As a Head Golf Professional, you are a key member of the golf operations team at the property, assisting the Director of Golf in managing the overall daily golf operation, including Pro Shop, retail services, cart staging area and practice facility. You will direct and work with managers and associates to ensure members' and associates' satisfaction while striving to maximize the financial performance of the department. Previous golf industry experience is a requirement and must be a PGA member or in Level 3 for consideration.
Ideal candidates have flexible schedules and availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.

Duties consist of but are not limited to:
Oversee Pro Shop Operations
• Ensuring the highest level of customer service is given to the members and guests by creating policies and enforcing the ones already in place
• Assist the merchandiser with creating and following best practices to ensure financial success of the retail department
• Manage the tee sheet to ensure we maximize tee time availability for members
• Manage the handicaps held at La Paloma Country Club to ensure fair play in all events
• Ensuring the Assistant Golf Professionals grow to reach their professional and personal goals
Oversee Player Service Operations
• Be present with the player service team at the golf cart staging area and the practice facility daily to ensure their needs are heard and met
• Ensure the golf cart fleet is cleaned, organized and in good working condition. Work with EZGO for repairs
• Ensuring the highest level of customer service is given to the members and guests by creating policies and enforcing the ones already in place
Administer Golf Events
• Create and administer social golf events
• Assist with major golf events
• Assist assistant golf professionals with their assigned associations
Conducting Human Resources Activities
• Assists with the recruiting and hiring of Golf team members with the appropriate skills.
• Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.
• Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensure employees do the same within the team.
• Solicits employee feedback, utilizing an “open door” policy and reviewing employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns
• Celebrates successes and publicly recognizing the contributions of team members; ensuring employee recognition is taking place on all shifts
• Adjusts staffing levels and services to meet customer demand and budget expectations
• Ensures that regular on-going communication is happening with employees to create awareness of business objectives and communicates expectations, recognizing performance, and produces desired results
• Implements property safety awareness programs to ensure a safe work environment for employees, members and guests
• Participates in employee progressive discipline procedures
• Ensures employees are cross trained to support successful daily operations
• Brings issues to the attention of the Director of Golf and Human Resources as necessary
