The Product Manufacturing will lead process understanding activities in the development of new golf club components. You will collaborate with research and development teams and with our suppliers to ensure proper technology handoff to production of industry leading golf clubs utilizing cutting edge manufacturing techniques. You will design, troubleshoot and provide technical support to execute process industrialization of our manufacturing processes with focus on capability and cost.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Research new manufacturing technologies that support our ability to design, develop and commercialize new product.
- Develop new manufacturing technologies in support of projects that are several years out from commercial industrialization.
- Perform process design feasibility evaluations [PFMEA] to ensure seamless transition into high volume manufacturing.
- Responsible for manufacturing execution to ensure product performance, conformance, durability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Coordination of all tooling/prototypes/first articles and subsequent evaluation through manufacturing and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including: Design, Development, Marketing, Sourcing, and Asia Manufacturing teams
- Perform design feasibility evaluations [DFMEA] to ensure seamless transition into high volume manufacturing.
- Recommends and implements improvements to production processes [PFMEA], methods, and controls.
- Development of manufacturing instructions and documentation using manufacturing engineering practices.
- Perform product/process statistical analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
- Outgoing/Incoming product inspection verification.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing failures using sound engineering problem solving.
- Production support for component assembly. Contributes to establishing quality standards for suppliers and establishing sound engineering practices used by vendors to assure the delivery of high quality components.
- Ensure that accurate and controlled documents/specifications are generated for new product designs and manufacturing processes. Transfer engineering drawings to outside suppliers and necessary internal customers.
- Actively supports the ramp up of new production, and control quality through active engineering reporting, analysis, and corrective action at the supplier.
- Research and evaluate new materials, metals and composite based, for future utilization in production products that provide advantages and improvements over current ones related to mass, cost, environmental impact, design impact. Link with processing specific to golf head manufacture including sourcing/vendor development.

Education, Work Experience and Professional Certifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment with a working knowledge of Metal Fabrication, DOE, Process Optimization, FMEA and Supplier Relations
- Experience working on individual and team projects with successful results
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of fabrication methods including Carbon Composites [TS/TP], Casting, Forging, Forming, Machining, Stamping, and Injection Molding a plus. Metal Fabrication experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cosmetic finishing processes including Plating, PVD, Painting, Powder Coating, Abrasive Polishing, and Media Blasting a plus
- Knowledge of consumer goods and the Golf/Sporting Goods industry a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing tooling and fixture design/inspection a plus
- Knowledge of computational tools including CAD, FEA, Programming Languages a plus
- Self-Motivated having demonstrated initiative toward professional and personal growth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable coordination of projects within departments and outside consultants.
- Capable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovations.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Normal office and manufacturing floor conditions.
- Domestic/International travel required.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
