The Associate Specialist Purchasing [Buyer/Analyst] supports the execution of buy plans with direction from local leadership. This position communicates capacity needs to internal teams and vendors, executes purchase orders, and ensures accurate shipping dates.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Manage regional monthly buy plans and works with regional planning teams to assist with monthly presentations.
- Manages capacity communication with vendors and internal teams, facilitates problem solving should there be a constraint.
- Creates and enters Purchase Orders and communicates with Suppliers. Expedites POs and inform teams when necessary.
- Maintain schedules with Suppliers for on time delivery and updating system to reflect actual shipment.
- Ensure Oracle and CSE PO data aligns.
- Update actual shipment date for US shipments in Oracle, close and release invoice for drop shipments.
- Works closely with our product development and our suppliers to track and communicate on-time PRN notifications.
- Creates Excel-based reports and analyzes data; help to creatively problem solve in order to create optimal solutions to meet business requirements.
- Advanced Shipping Notification creation and maintenance to support PO ex-factory dates.
- Performs any necessary follow-up related to Shipping documents.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with relational databases (i.e. MS Access, Business Objects, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of TaylorMade’s purchasing systems (Oracle, CSE)
- Commitment to meeting absolute deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- BS Degree preferred
- 2+ year of experience in related purchasing or buyer role, preferably in manufacturing
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Some travel may be required.
