About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with both our operations and management to provide real-time support and analysis. Your role will be that of a trusted partner, adding value that aids in decision-making processes. Success in this role hinges on your ability to communicate effectively, understand your audience, and deliver information in a clear and user-friendly manner. Your mix of analytical, commercial, and communication skills will be pivotal to our continued success.
• Develop strong relationships with Category Managers and Buyers to align projects with their priorities and category plans.
• Provide high-quality, actionable insights to Category teams for better trading decisions.
• Analyse OTB (Open to Buy / WSSI) weekly for cash flow and long-term stock strategy purpose.
• Have full responsibility on Market and share reporting
• Work with Exec members to determine and report on strategic initiatives & KPI’s
• Support retail stores in driving sales and margin through analytics and MI.
• Determine true product cost of sale to minimize costs and maximize margin.
• Analyse seasonality and terminal stock.
• Plan and analyse pre-promotional activities to achieve profit and sales targets.
• Develop recommendations for the business and trading propositions to drive improved performance.
• Measure key trading initiatives vs budgets and forecasts, assessing their impact across all areas of the business
• Analyse promotional profitability and identify opportunities to flatten sales peaks and troughs.
• Qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
• Ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Desirable – experience in retail and a commercial understanding of key drivers.
• Desirable – experience with using data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Desirable – experience using digital analytics tools to analyse online behaviour.
