Position Summary:
The Director of Accessories will drive the category vision and product strategy for accessories and apparel across TaylorMade brands on a global basis. The individual is responsible for the strategic direction of the category, delivering short and long-term plans to ensure growth and profitability. In addition to a strong eye and knowledge of creating accessories products, s/he will set category goals, establish, manage product line plans, and is responsible for financial management of the category. Importantly, this leader will have oversight of a talented team of individuals, including design, creation, development process, and sourcing.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
In alignment with the VP (and support of Executive team), creates and implements 3 Year Global Strategic Product plans that address product strategy, launch timings, SKU management, pricing, etc. in order to meet short and long-term financial goals, ensuring category growth and profitability.
Lead product category Strategy Meetings to challenge the status quo and to truly innovate the product and the business.
Category Champion. Leads the product creation efforts for product concepts, packaging concepts, new technologies, graphics, naming, etc.
Drives unique product and product ranges for multiple channels including retail, green grass and DTC.
Presents product concepts to the product creation group and executives. Collaborates on advanced concepts with vendors to challenge their limitations and creativity.
Leads the building of product briefs and participates in design briefs by working ahead of the commercial curves with the RDES, consumer insights, and within product creation team
Designs and leads clear and aligned full life cycle planning for category (SKU productivity, expectations by Region). Point of contact for all global regions on product category specific questions.
Complete understanding of product performance and market activity across all regions globally in order to drive next generation product creation. With this, drives the right products into the appropriate channels with market appropriate pricing and marketing support
Create and manage global category product ranges using global market insight, finding ways to have a constant stream of new ideas to keep the product lines exciting.
Maintain an ongoing and thorough knowledge of competitive products by researching consumer blog sites, OEM websites, retail site visits, and study market research
Partner with Finance to develop detailed global forecasts for respective categories across channels and regions
Participating in television, video and radio media interviews as the category expert.
Prepares and executes US and International sales and marketing presentations to key accounts, internal customers and sales forces as needed
Lead, inspire, develop and manage a group of high functioning individuals to perform at the highest level and support world-class brands. Ensure organizational efficiency through collaboration, training and development of the internal teams.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills suited to providing leadership and influencing cross-functional internal teams including R&D, Design, Kingdom, Finance, Tour employees
Demonstrated ability to plan, evaluate, and effectively present ideas and concepts
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication
Expert in the golf market, products, competitors and consumer demand, single digit golfer required
Excellent planning, organization and project management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Highly flexible and adaptable in order to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent tasks.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
B.S./B.A. in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or other related field
10+ years’ experience in a Development, Engineering or Sourcing function
Experience in a commercial role and driving toward financial targets
Experience working with accessory suppliers and international vendors
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Office environment, consistent computer usage
Frequent domestic and occasional international travel required
Ability to work extended hours as needed
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach tocompensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining basecompensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, andwork location. The expectedannual base pay range for this position is $155,000– $165,000.Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays,paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
