We are seeking a passionate, accomplished, and strategic leader to drive the marketing initiatives of our new apparel division. In this newly created and pivotal role, you will be responsible for setting and executing the overarching marketing strategy, driving brand growth, and ensuring a consistent and impactful brand presence across all communication channels. This position will play a critical role in launching this new segment, shaping its brand identity, expanding our market reach, and achieving business objectives. This position is located in San Clemente, CA.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals, brand vision, and market trends.
- Define target markets, brand values, customer personas, and positioning strategies to effectively engage and resonate with this new audience.
- Conduct thorough market research, analyze industry trends, and monitor competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and market shifts.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and objectives.
- Lead cross-functionally with teams including product creation, design, content, social media, marketing, and executive leadership to ensure marketing initiatives support overall business objectives.
- Manage and allocate marketing budgets effectively, tracking and optimizing return on investment (ROI) and return on ad spend (ROAS) for all marketing activities.
- Lead and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, vendors, media outlets, and industry partners to leverage opportunities and maximize brand exposure.
- Stay abreast of emerging marketing trends, technologies, and industry best practices, integrating innovative strategies into our marketing efforts.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity across all marketing touchpoints.
- Oversee public relations and communications strategies to build brand awareness and manage the company's reputation.
- Lead, inspire, develop, and manage a group of high functioning, highly creative individuals to perform at the highest level and support world-class brands. Ensure organizational efficiency through collaboration, training, and development of the internal teams.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned or required
Education, Work Experience and Professional Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years in marketing leadership roles, ideally within the sports, apparel or fashion industry.
- Proven track record of driving successful marketing initiatives
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Experience in effectively leading and managing teams, fostering collaboration, inspiring creativity, and driving results.
- Profound understanding of marketing principles, including brand management, market segmentation, and customer acquisition.
- Expertise in traditional and digital marketing channels, encompassing SEO, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and PR.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, utilizing metrics to track and measure marketing performance, and providing insights for optimization.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying ideas, influencing stakeholders, and cultivating strong relationships.
- Highly skilled in project management, able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines within a dynamic environment.
- Passion for the apparel industry, coupled with a keen interest in fashion trends, consumer preferences, and emerging marketing strategies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive approach to problem-solving, and demonstrated ability to think creatively and drive results.
- Comfortable in a startup environment, adaptable to change, resourceful, and capable of thriving in ambiguity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) & Keynote
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Typical office conditions with consistent computer use.
- Occasional domestic travel required
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary
- Light physical effort equal to lifting or moving of lightweight materials (up to 25 pounds)
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
