Job Description
Picturesque 18-hole parkland course, regarded as one of the finest golfing challenges in North London. The 18-hole course is 6,302 yards long and winds its way through mature parkland.
The rolling fairways and abundant, varied trees are not only beautiful but were laid out by the renowned Scottish golfer and course architect James Braid to reward thoughtful and accurate golf. The greens are renowned for their pace, trueness and generally excellent condition.
The clubhouse was built as a grand private mansion and retains many of its original Victorian features and houses two restaurants and a bar, as well as a sunny terrace overlooking the 12th and 18th greens. Close to the Northern Line (Mill Hill East, West Finchley and Finchley Central all within a mile).
Job Specification for Golf Sales Manager
Job Title: Golf Sales Manager
Primary Responsibilities

Increase membership and event income by successfully securing sales

Deal with all inbound enquiries, keep our Customer Relationship Management system accurate and up to date.

Provide all the information requested by enquirers, offer membership options, promote the benefits of membership and payment options.

Organise, and in some cases conduct, introduction to the club, clubhouse, and facilities, ensure there is a prompt introductory round of golf.

Secure sales, deal with all payments, register membership and details.

Managing the process from end to end, achieving sales targets

Organise and attend promotional events, including Golf Societies and corporate days.

Dates for golf societies and corporate days need to be coordinated with Head Greenkeeper and Director of Golf to avoid clashes with major Club competitions.

Report weekly on the enquiries and conversion to sales activity during the peak season April to August, thereafter monthly.

Membership Retention

Actively follow up all temporary members before their end date, securing sales of annual memberships.

Regular communication with all members by phone or email to ensure that they are fully integrated into the Club’s golf and social life (with support from GM)

Arrange regular member events in co-operation with Captain and Golf committee (with support from GM)

Arrange and control the membership renewal process from sending out invoices, dealing with queries, follow up on late payers, persuade reluctant members to renew their membership and finally close the renewal (with support from GM)
Secondary Responsibility

Assist GM with general marketing enquiries – Provide information and content to external partners, press and customers on social media.

Assist GM/Secretary with the marketing budget and deal with all purchasing and invoicing. Maintain good stock control of up-to-date promotional literature.

Assist the GM/Secretary in all facilities matters and provide cover during absences with all urgent matters relating to Golf, House, Social and Board and Company Secretary duties.
