If your "why" is to work hard and play hard while contributing your sales and marketing expertise with creativity, discipline, persistence, and patience, then you may be a qualified candidate for the role of Director of Sales & Marketing in the Orange County corporate office, primarily supporting private clubs in the Troon Prive division with some Daily Fee and Resort responsibilities in the Troon Golf division.
This position plays a key role in the delivery and execution of the private club sales and marketing approach. Backed by the global brand and resources of Troon, the Director of Sales & Marketing collaborates with an assigned portfolio of private club associates, boards, committees, owners, and members to meet or exceed annual goals for sales, revenues, and retention through the delivery of proprietary expertise and protocols. This role also provides resource support for the delivery of sales and marketing training and tools to the regional sales and marketing directors and private club and daily fee/resort field teams.

She/he must excel in both team and individual/remote environments, be a creative and adept problem solver, willingly embrace change, and find fulfillment in succeeding in the face of challenge.
General Purpose – Responsible for delivery of sales and marketing programs and services to assigned private, resort, and daily fee clubs as Sales & Marketing Lead, and providing resource support for corporate delivery of sales and marketing training and tools to the field.
Essential Duties • Support assigned clubs in developing sales and marketing plans to meet revenue/retention goals. o Implementing and maintaining established protocols for service standards; o Utilizing templates/best practices as established in Troon’s Membership Master Plan and Scorecard approach; o Driving private club sustainability while working with owners and club teams on bylaw compliance, membership documentation, FME mix analysis, targeting, positioning, prospect management, retention, pace/key stakeholder reporting, and more. o Integrating leverage of the Troon brand, resources, and programs. • Provide resource support for the delivery of the corporate sales and marketing approach to regional sales and marketing directors and club teams, through activities such as: o Content development and presentation at corporate training events; o Recruitment and training of sales, marketing, and communications candidates. o Contribution to the Membership Master Plan Playbook and templated deliverables;
Preferences for Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities • Proven success in the field of sales and marketing, preferably in a membership and private club environment working with varied levels of key stakeholders. • Understanding/working knowledge of the benefits and pricing of a membership product. • Possesses excellent written and verbal presentation skills, is detail oriented, and utilizes exceptional time management expertise in managing multiple priorities simultaneously. • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information in order to recommend the appropriate best practices, and/or develop new practices and approaches. • Ability to compose contemporary sales and marketing presentations that effectively and efficiently communicate approach, progress, results, value, and next steps. • Proven working knowledge of social media, website development, graphic design, video production, and photography, and be at ease with and/or an early adapter of technology. • Ability to excel while working independently with little supervision and with a team. • Ability to read and speak English fluently. Fluency in Spanish desired. • Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications and online creative platforms. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications desired. • Bachelor’s degree and/or five years related and accomplished experience.
