Job Description

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club is looking for a high-energy and driven sales professional to fill our Private Event Sales role. Private Event Sales is responsible for the selling, planning, and coordinating of all aspects of private events and meeting functions held within the club. The ideal candidate will develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual sales and revenue targets. The primary function of this role is to drive revenue by prospecting and fostering relationships with Members, individuals, and corporations.


  • Responsible for selling all private functions, including meeting with the clients to determine needs, and exceeding their expectations through detailed communication
  • Networking inside and outside the Club to obtain leads and build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Attend all required department head meetings
  • Work with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director to establish profitable and competitive private event menus that meet clients' needs
  • Become proficient in the use of Cater Pro catering program
  • Communication with both client and support staff from prospecting to execution of the event
  • Working with marketing partners to create marketing materials to promote private events
  • Manage private event social media posts
  • Distribute daily and weekly reports, ensuring the accuracy of all information
  • Ensure all services administered to Club Members and their guests are consistent with the expected level of service
  • Professional appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel
  • Assist in greeting members and clients on the day of their events
  • Ensure all payments and contracts have been received
  • Archives and maintains mandated company sales standards

Job Requirements:

  • Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of outbound sales experience
  • Proven track record of supporting the marketing/prospecting programs to drive event revenues
  • Proven ability in communication and a collaborative work environment
  • Creative, energetic outgoing personality with organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sales experience preferably in catering and private event functions
  • Must have practical knowledge of food preparation and social customs of etiquette, especially in regard to private events
  • Knowledgeable of all proper methods of food and beverage service, systems, controls, and costs
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
