Ravinia Green Country Club, with a beautiful clubhouse, golf course, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor golf simulators, tennis courts, pickleball courts and social amenities all nestled between the trees, ponds and streams of Riverwoods, Illinois. Set among an immense community of old weeping willows and featuring an abundance of greenery and scenic views, the golf course at Ravinia Green is one of the most enthralling and picturesque courses in the Chicago area. The course offers a unique blend of challenge and opportunity for all levels of players. Featuring 100 bunkers with water coming into play on more than 10 holes, the Larry Packard-designed 18-hole course is 6,866 yards with a championship slope of 134. It features two putting greens, a vast driving range along with a chipping range, and a short driving range.

Caddies in golf are believed to have started in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1817 and since then have been synonymous with the game. Not only can a caddie make a walking round of golf easier on the player physically, but they also use their expertise to help any golfer with strategic decisions to help lower their score.

At Ravinia Green Country Club, we are proud to have a wonderful caddie program that supports the Evans Scholarship Foundation. Each year, caddies from our club are eligible to apply for this scholarship which provides full housing and college tuition for caddies with limited financial means. We had caddies win scholarships in both 2018 and 2019.

JOB SUMMARY

The Head Golf Pro is responsible for promoting the game of golf through operational structure and programming that provides a "first class" environment for Members and guests. The Head Golf Pro develops all golf operations department budgets including forecasts to see that all financial goals are met. The benchmark for success in this role is the growth in Member usage and revenues, reduction in Member attrition, and the high-quality standards for service, production, cleanliness, and safety.

DAY-TO-DAY

• Responsible for all golf operations at the Club, including, golf carts, bag room, locker room, golf shop, special tournaments, and Member/Guest events

• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all staff

• Acute understanding of the critical role that Membership and exceeding expectations play regarding the success of the operation

• Develop aggressive Golf revenue sales, marketing, and net revenue plans

• Direct successful implementations by following established ClubCorp budgeting and revenue guidelines

ABOUT YOU

• College degree preferred

• PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion required

• Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of expense control as it relates to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses

• Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.

• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners and Guests
