Senior Director of Marketing and Member Experience

ClubCorp is actively seeking a Senior Director of Marketing and Member Experience for The Woodlands Country Club. We are looking for someone who thrives in the hospitality industry, has luxury brand experience, and can help us tell the story of our fantastic Club! Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The Senior Director of Marketing and Member Experience is responsible for managing the team to develop the brand strategy, provide ongoing marketing support, and drive the member experience for all parts of The Woodlands Country Club, including the Palmer Clubhouse, the Tournament Course, and The Player Clubhouse. This role reports directly to Paul Earnest, General Manager, and is part of the senior management staff, alongside Golf, Tennis, Food & Beverage, Private Events, and Membership.

This role will manage and oversee the following team:

  • Director of Programming
  • Communications Director
  • Sales and Retention Director
  • All Concierge positions

The Senior Director will own and protect the Woodlands Country Club brand by 1. developing the marketing plans and strategies for all large initiatives, including Membership, Private Events, and priority Member-focused events (i.e., Woodlands 50th Anniversary) and 2. leading the team that retains Members and enhance overall the Member experience.

Marketing:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and media plans to successfully promote initiatives to both Members, prospective Members, and private events sales
  • Work closely with Graphic Designers and Copywriters to develop marketing collateral from initial concept to final product, including social media campaigns, digital media, print media, emails, as well as providing art direction
  • Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor’s marketing movements
  • Control budgets and allocate resources amongst projects
  • Become the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders, and potential clients and build strategic partnerships

Member Experience:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive Member marketing and communication plan, including an email and social media strategy, that drives engagement and retention
  • Programming: Develop and ensure execution of relevant and engaging Member events and experiences specific to Club We Are and ClubLife expectations
  • Communications: Implement thorough and consistent marketing and communication strategies to activate ClubLife through all channels best, amplifying the Member story
  • Member Management: Champion the engagement and retention strategy for overall Member journey + tracking, ARMI, forecasting
  • New Member Onboarding: Develop and be accountable for New Member Welcome and Connect Steps, Member Intel, and Name Recognition
  • Supervise Member Experience Team: Project management, budgeting, staffing, hiring, and training of Member Experience team

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Marketing experience, including strategy development and execution, media buying, email marketing, creative design
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a team and manage up to the General Managers of the properties
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship development
  • Passion for marketing and creative thinking
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and drive results
