JOB OVERVIEW
As a member of Callaway’s Advanced Design Engineering (ADE) team this role requires an innovative, open minded approach to golf club graphics and aesthetics. In this role you will interface with multiple groups both internal (Engineering, Industrial Design, and R&D) and external (Suppliers) as you work to evaluate and help implement these new graphics and processes. This role requires a high amount both creative and technical thought and independent work while remaining flexible and open to critique and direction from other ADE team members and Senior Management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Thinking outside the box with regards to graphics, decals, medallions, electroform
and all other visual aesthetics
• Assess design and graphic trends inside and outside the golf and related industries,
Implementing when appropriate
• Identify and develop new logo/graphic treatment applications working with
external domestic and international suppliers
• Submit patent applications to internal legal department to protect Intellectual Property
• Provide technical specs/drawings to suppliers to convey concept direction
• Act as a technical liaison with external suppliers
• Plan, procure, test, and evaluate physical material prototypes
• Travel as required to supply base, both domestically and overseas
• Understands program timelines and is proactive regarding task completion in a deadline driven environment


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Formal training in design or extensive related work experience
• Advanced level graphic design experience applied to both aesthetic and technical
requirements; preferred in the creation of golf club products
• Ability to work with suppliers in an independent mode to solve technical problems
• Ability to lead technical meetings and report project status
• Highly creative with good critical thinking skills
• Ability to actively participate in team discussions and provide clear and concise
recommendations through sketches and verbal descriptions
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and MS Project)
• Knowledge of Siemens NX or equivalent CAD program preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent knowledge in the related areas of Adobe Creative Suite software

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field, or minimum 5-7 years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in golf club design a plus
