The Senior Advanced Engineer IT Infrastructure position provides data and computational capacity that facilitates all business services for TaylorMade, including those that are external-facing and direct to the consumer. This position maintains a healthy storage and computing environment with appropriate access, security, availability, performance, capacity and backups for productivity, efficiency, and business continuity. A special expertise is required in data storage, server hardware, virtualization, and the supporting infrastructure.
Must have the proven ability to frame complex problems and work with the team to develop an approach for breaking the problem down into manageable pieces. S/he will be able to lead team members to implement the approach and monitor the quality of the work to ensure the team meets the quality standards. This person should have an interest in mentoring and teaching others and be skilled at identifying and proposing solutions to roadblocks encountered along the way. S/he will understand business process re-engineering and IT system development. The Senior Advanced Lead Engineer IT Infrastructure is accountable for supporting the design of infrastructure network systems and database.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Maintain all aspects of TaylorMade infrastructure systems. This includes deployment of projects with a focus on systems infrastructure, including initiating purchase requests, developing implementation plans, defining methods of procedure (MOP), and executing work
Participate in on-call rotation for escalation support of technical issues, supporting the 24x7x365 production environment
Provide IT solutions for complex problems involving the infrastructure portfolio.
Develop life-cycle plans through collection, review, evaluation and interpretation of data for building and scaling services, updating the systems infrastructure, and retiring legacy solutions.
Design and support secure, robust, reliable and scalable solutions that are aligned with the needs of the organization
Conduct analyses that: assess application of industry best practices, estimate cost savings, and determine if solutions match the desired system architecture objectives
Establish and recommend systems infrastructure technical documentation, policies, standards and procedures for the team and organization.
Audit and deploy OS, application security, and feature updates on equipment to decrease vulnerability exposure.
Monitor performance, security, and availability of the server environment. Recommend improvements in technologies and practices to increase these metrics
Lead the implementation of a complex geographically distributed Warehouse management and eCommerce Infrastructure.
Advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution from storage/data backup perspective in concert with the external service provider (who will provide hands-on activities) and recommend continuous improvement actions.
Evaluate the Root Cause Analysis documentation provided by the external service provider and follow up on the actions identified.
Possess strong knowledge in relevant server and storage technologies including the infrastructure and operating systems involved.
Evaluate emerging system and storage technologies.
Perform other duties as required.

Hyper Converged infrastructure hardware and software such as Nutanix, Vmware VSAN
VMware and similar server virtualization such as Docker or other container technology and related management tools (Kubernetes)
Hands-on systems engineer experienced in a multi-vendor, multi-OS environment (Linux, Windows, OS X, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Elastic)
Additional virtualization technologies, such as those for applications, networking and storage
Server and cloud management solutions
Automation programming and policies
Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure or similar public cloud environments
Robocopy, rsync and similar data replication solutions
PowerShell, Perl, and other programming languages for automation
Connected infrastructure, including networking, and external clouds
Infrastructure services, such as LDAP, Active Directory, FTP, SQL databases and Citrix
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or other related technical degrees (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics) and 5-7 years’ experience or 10-12 years of relevant work experience
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, MBA, MPH or other technical field is highly preferred.
7 to 10 years of experience with:
Windows Server or Linux server operating systems
Server hardware experience
5 to 7 years of data storage experience
VMware VCP, MCSE or similar certifications are a plus
ITIL framework or similar models for IT workflow
DevOps culture, methodologies and technologies
Data privacy laws and practices
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Primarily office environment.
Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
