The Nicewonder Inn, located in Bristol, Virginia, is excited to announce that we seek a Night Auditor for our luxury Inn & Yurts. The Auditor will examine, verifies accuracy, analyze and reconcile daily revenue activity from the individual revenue producing areas, and prepare summary reports.
General Purpose: Examines, verifies accuracy, analyzes and reconciles daily revenue activity from individual revenue producing areas, and prepares summary reports
Essential Duties • Closes out and balances point of sales (POS) systems for all locations. • Posts room, tax and initiates end of day process for property management system. • Balances Front Desk shift audits to the property management system. • Performs, daily, weekly and month-end systems closing procedure for point of sales systemsand property management system for the Accounting department for various analysis andstatistical reporting. • Ensures shutdown/restart interfacings for all systems after the end of the day process is complete. • Balances credit cards and house charges. • Makes corrections on POS for charges and credit cards as documented by cashiers oncorresponding paperwork. • Enters revenue, covers, rounds and other statistical information by outlet into spreadsheet. • Programs/enters price changes in Food and Beverage POS system as authorized by the Food& Beverage Director. • Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the DepartmentManager. • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. • Attends staff meetings.
Experience / Education / Certification Requirements • Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. • Knowledge of property management system, EZ Links, Abacus, and Jonas (or similar)applications.
