Job Description

Pronghorn Resort is excited to announce the exceptional career of Banquet Supervisor. The Banquet Supervisor ensures exceptional service to all members and resort guests by supervising the banquet service for all special functions. Performs additional essential duties effectively and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews assigned banquet staff functions, banquet menus prior to the scheduled event.

  • Conducts pre-banquet meetings with staff to: ensure appearance and hygiene standards are being met assign stations and partners and review banquet event orders.

  • Communicates with the Banquet Manager or other assigned coordinator to ensure that all details have been planned for and met. Ensures that changes and further instructions are made in a timely manner.

  • Use sales and marketing skills for potential new clients.
    &nbsp
  • Work with the Banquet Manager and Director to help determine labor needs and adjust staffing levels and needs.
    &nbsp
  • Trains and evaluates staff
    &nbsp
  • Checks room set-up prior to the event and meets with Chef to confirm quantities of food items and timing of food leaving the kitchen.
    &nbsp
  • Ensures proper handling of all equipment (i.e. china, glassware, silverware, linen, and props and their proper storage after use.
    &nbsp
  • Conducts random audits during functions to evaluate food and service. Ensures that: food is served at appropriate temperature food is placed properly on the table sufficient food is available and up-sell opportunities are met. Audits revenue entries to ensure all charges are properly captured.

  • Regularly reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.

  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees.
    &nbsp
  • Uphold the standards and expectations of food and service quality set forth by Pronghorn.
    &nbsp
  • Must be capable of performing the position of Food Server and Bartender.
    &nbsp
  • Maintains organized and clean work area.
    &nbsp
  • Attend scheduled training seminars and department meetings.
    &nbsp
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and purveyors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Keeps Banquet Manager and Food and Beverage Director fully informed of all personnel problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.

  • Uphold the standards and expectations of food quality and production.

  • Able to effectively handle multiple tasks.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Maintains a professional standard at Pronghorn including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.

  • Supports and adheres to the CORE Values (ie. &ldquoThe T.R.I.P.&rdquo and Brand Pillars, Service Fundamentals, and Guest Service Philosophy as defined by the Company.

  • Participate in and support company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of the Planet Pronghorn program.

  • Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Food &amp Beverage Director.&nbsp

Certifications:

  • Must maintain current Food Handlers Card and OLCC Servers Permit.

Travel Requirements:
&nbsp

  • Local travel may be required in conjunction with Member/Guest events. Regional travel for training purposes may be occasionally required.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.

  • Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
    &nbsp
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    &nbsp
  • Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50-75 lbs. occasionally.
    &nbsp
  • Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms&rsquo reach.
    &nbsp
  • Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to the general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
