The Industrial Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs and installs mechanical systems used in semi and fully automated manufacturing. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industry standard and specialized equipment. Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System C.M.M.S. to report and record equipment-related actions. Works independently or as a team member as directed by supervisor. Specific Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Troubleshoot equipment, programming controllers, designing programs to suit needs, installing hardware, modifying &amp upgrading existing circuits, and ordering parts needed to accomplish tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under minimum supervision, repairs, installs, and troubleshoots mechanical systems used in semi and fully automated manufacturing. May assist with electrical systems based on skill and knowledge
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industry standard and specialized equipment. Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System C.M.M.S. to report and record equipment-related actions.
  • Works independently or as a team member as directed by supervisor.&nbsp
  • Troubleshoot equipment, programming controllers, designing programs to suit needs, installing hardware, modifying &amp upgrading existing circuits, and ordering parts needed to accomplish tasks.
  • Trouble shoot machinery, mechanically repair machinery, rebuild &amp upgrade equipment, install conveyor systems, install new equipment, &amp order parts.&nbsp

Job Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Knowledge in machine automation including robotics, PLC&rsquos, drives, motor controls, sensing components, vision systems, printers, scanners, label machines, pin stamping, dispensing controls, etc.
  • Strong Ability to communicate via laptop with machine control programs, PLC&rsquos, VFD&rsquos, panel views, vision systems, printers, scanners, label machines, dispensing controls, etc.
  • Strong ability to use Logics 5000, RS-232, Ethernet, Devicenet etc.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems used in semi and fully automated manufacturing to include hydraulics, pneumatics, conveying equipment etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot from mechanical drawings/prints such as hydraulics prints/diagrams and/or O.E.M documentation. Strong ability to troubleshoot low voltage control instrumentation and or components such as proportional valves, linear encoders, temperature sensors, servo controls, etc.
  • Highly skilled to troubleshoot, test and interpret electrical prints/drawings on low and high voltage A/C/ D/C circuits.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, principles and applications.
  • Ability to interpret local and national electrical codes in order to help meet compliance /legal requirements.
  • Highly skilled to troubleshoot electrical system with minimum or no documentation. Highly skilled with the use of voltage and calibration meters.
  • Ability to use power tools, shop equipment such as drill presses, sand blasters etc.
  • Strong ability to train junior level technicians.
  • Ability to interact with other associates on the manufacturing floor in a professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-motivator.
  • Work in a team environment.

Education &amp Experience:

  • College level education from a&nbsp2 or 4 year program.&nbspSolid electrical theory &amp controller language. Or combinations of equivalent education and experience.
  • General machine repair experience.
