Job Description

Our championship team run in excess of 55 events a year between the months of May to October. One of two tournament managers within the team, you will manage, organise and deliver national events where allocated such duties by the championship director. You will serve as tournament director on site at events such as the Brabazon qualifying, Champion Club and others as well as assisting staff at key championships such as the European Amateur Team Championships and the English Women’s Stroke Play. You’ll also support our team in our rules education programme. We pride ourselves on providing first-class events for our golfers and you will play an important part in delivering this.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • a broad experience of golf and golf administration with experience of running golf tournaments
  • a strong knowledge of the rules of golf
  • a basic understanding of the World Handicap System (WHS)
  • the ability to use and learn a range of computer software programs including Golf Genius software
  • an ability to work with professionals and volunteers
  • the ability to work to deadlines

The role will require regular levels of physical effort.

The post is full-time and you must be prepared to travel and work evenings and weekends, as necessary. The position is based at England Golf Headquarters, The National Golf Centre, The Broadway, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, LN10 6PU and the successful applicant will be expected to travel to deliver events.
