ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains, optimizes and supports the Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure.
  • Performs system operational maintenance which includes the ability to install, setup, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize computer network servers, systems, peripherals and components.
  • Administers Microsoft Windows Active Directory/Domain, SAP and Microsoft Exchange users.
  • Manages and maintains network server backups, systems and related equipment.
  • Administers virtual Hyperconverged infrastructure, virtual servers, PBX/telephony systems and SQL databases.
  • Works closely with the engineering department to support, repair, deploy and maintain all technical networked factory systems, computers, kiosks and scanners.
  • Responsible for technical project implementations including vendor co-ordination, installation and documentation.
  • Support and maintain all implementations of Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Protection, strategic desktop applications, upgrades to support global desktop compliance and all other client applications.
  • Support and maintain strategic desktop solutions that promote cost savings to the company for desktop and helpdesk support.
  • Configures, troubleshoots and repairs LaserJet, inkjet and thermal transfer printers.
  • Promptly responds to, resolves and mitigates any risk for virus, adware, malware and spyware infections.
  • Incorporates Callaway Golf worldwide standards into the Chicopee computer operations infrastructure
  • Interacts with value added resellers in obtaining hardware and software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Maintains accurate problem/change logs, and documentation on the HCI server/network/security infrastructure.
  • Works in concert with the IT Desktop Admin to provide exceptional support to the IT user community.
  • Promptly responds to, resolves and mitigates any risk for virus, adware, malware and spyware infections.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots problems individually or as a part of a team, and provides basic problem analysis and solution implementation that follows established technical guidelines.
  • Works in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized process guidelines.
  • Responsible for support of all systems, networks, communications and associated technical equipment.
  • Manages and maintains anti-virus defense systems for all network servers and clients.
  • Monitors, maintains and enforces network and information security and works closely with IT security team.
  • Serves as a primary contact with networking service providers and customers and plays a key role in negotiating and developing plans for future services.
  • Keeps abreast of new hardware and software products for system enhancements.
  • Interacts with outside vendors in obtaining hardware and software solutions and their pricing.
  • Maintains problem logs, change logs and documentation on the entire network infrastructure.
  • Proactively communicates with business partners to establish, grow and enhance collaborative relationships.
  • Consistently demonstrates professional and superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Leads technical projects for assigned areas of support which include computer, technical and manufacturing upgrades, implementations, and setups.
  • Actively leads/participates in project teams and meetings to discuss and implement quality system improvement and technology updates.
  • Responsible for ensuring critical support issues are escalated as appropriate with internal and external resources to meet or exceed agreed upon service levels.
  • Maintains and enhances knowledge of our business and industry and keep abreast of current developments and trends in relative areas of technology.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by IT management.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Able to install, setup, configure, test, troubleshoot, and optimize moderate to complex computer and technical systems, components and associated peripherals.
  • Able to recognize and analyze system issues on a working level and promptly identify resolutions.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco networking including wireless systems.
  • Able to recognize, understand, and troubleshoot system performance warnings, alerts and errors.
  • In depth knowledge of smart phones, tablets, scanners and other smart portable devices.
  • Proven depth of knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft and TCP/IP networking environments.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to support business critical processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works on multiple projects, system issues or tasks concurrently.
  • Able to create professional documentation and instructions for computer and technical manufacturing systems.
  • Strong logic, problem-solving, math and Internet skills along with specific attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate professional customer service and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent levels of professional certification and/or 8 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of five or more years’ experience working in an IT support environment including networked servers and client computers, technical manufacturing systems and complex systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

  • The employee will largely support an office environment, however, there may be exposure to conditions of a typical manufacturing floor environment including but not limited to fumes, airborne particles, heat and moisture
  • The employee may be required to stand, sit, crouch, walk and bend/conform in uncomfortable positions for varying periods of time
  • Will be required to use vision including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
